YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO TO HAWAII TO EXPERIENCE ALOHA…

Aloha is a natural state of calmness and love. When the stresses of daily life and the symptoms of disease and injury are lessened or removed, Aloha is the experience. In this state we are able to understand ourselves and make the choices in our lives which bring the greatest peace.

Acupuncture regulates a person’s qi (energy flow) through the insertion of ultra-fine needles into specific points located on the body’s meridians (energy pathways). Illness and injury are perceived as disruptions in these natural flows which govern the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of one’s life. Acupuncture restores the balance bringing relief from pain and other symptoms. Come experience the benefits acupuncture provides – naturally!

Research shows that acupuncture can help relieve a whole range of physical and psychological conditions, across most of the body’s organs and systems. It can increase your body’s ability to release its own natural painkillers – endorphins and serotonin – and a course of treatment can relieve all sorts of difficulties, including muscular pain and strain; migraine; stress, anxiety and depression; sleep problems; allergies; skin conditions, and even breathing problems such as asthma.

Holistic Healing involves the use of many therapies in order to bring a person’s body, mind and energy into greater balance. The basis of our treatment protocol is rooted in Chinese Medicine, namely acupuncture and herbal preparations. However, depending on an individual’s constitution and presentation of symptoms, Aloha practitioners tend to use many different techiniques in order to influence a person’s health. Most are outlined in the following.

Herbs can be an integral part of a course of treatment. While the acupuncture balances a person’s energy body, herbal formulas can be used to nourish and support the physical body and help a person maintain results in between sessions. Formulas can be custom-made to target a person’s specific constitution and present set of symptoms. Raw herbs can be prepared as a tea or administered in the form of capsules or tablets for convenience. Unlike pharmaceuticals composed of synthetic, isolated active ingredients, herbs are utilized in their whole form. It is through the absorption of this full spectrum of biochemical constituents that the body maximizes the substance’s potency and ability to bring about shifts aligned with natural metabolic processes. Their safety and efficacy has been proven by thousand of years of use by trained practitioners

Cupping

Suction created using small glass cups may be used to simulate a deep tissue massage. This helps to open the channels, relieve the muscles and release pathogenic factors.

Tui Na

This form of Chinese massage may be used in conjunction with an acupuncture treatment to help open the channels before needles are used.

Moxabustion

Moxabustion is a form of therapy that involves burning a special blend of herbs close to an acupuncture point. The heat carries the healing properties of the herbs into the point to create a threapeutic effect.

Electro-Stimulation

Microcurrents are connected to the needles to provide additional stimulation for the treatment of inflammation, pain and nervous conditions.

Gemstone Therapy

Gemstones may be used during your acupuncture treatment. The properties of various minerals have certain healing effects and may be placed upon acupoints in order to stimulate certain meridians. The practitioner might also prescribe that certain stones be used in vibrational waters that a patient prepares at home.

Essential Oils

Essential oils contain some of the richest healing properties of plants and might also be applied to various acupuncture points during a treatment. Your practitioner may also prescribe a custom essential oil formula to be taken internally. As the oils contain the essence of the plant, they can in turn effect deeper levels of a person’s constitution addressing more severe or deeply rooted symptoms and issues.
